Travis Egan, The Delavan Mortgage Guy, interviews John Scherer, of the Alder Companies. John shares a little of the history of the Alder Companies, why milk is no longer delivered to our homes and a surprise about what milk you might actually be drinking. John also shares his passion of the Delavan-Darien Rotary Club and what the mission is of this fine organization.
Based in Delavan, Wisconsin, Alder Comapnies major market includes the Midwest and Northeast with license to serve all 48 contiguous states. They distribute to many of the top food outlets in the United States including Walmart, Super Valu/Jewel Foods, Sentry, Fresh Brands (Piggly Wiggly) along with numerous convenience store outlets and food service providers.
Four smaller companies are combined within the framework of the Alder companies. Together, we are 110 employees operating 60 tractor-trailers and 12 wholesale straight trucks. The greatest assets of the Alder Companies are our empowered, dedicated employees who accept and enjoy the responsibilities and challenges of a “job well done.” We base our operations at four locations in Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.
